  1. that is very dangerous. you could break your ankles or toes. go and get yourself some real pointe shoes trust me. i do pointe.

    hope i have helped

  2. Do you mean trying pointe in ballet slippers(without the box and platform, etc.)? Yeah, that would be EXTREMELY dangerous! Without the support that real pointe shoes give you, you run a very very high risk of breaking toes or other bones in your foot, not to mention hurting the tendons/ligaments/muscles in your feet. Same with trying pointe barefoot. There just isn't enough support for it. Pointe definitely takes a lot and can be pretty dangerous if you're not careful. Go buy some pointe shoes for sure.

  3. If you mean ballet slippers (or pointe shoes) than yes that is a very bad thing for your feet, and dangerous. You could fracture your feet and/or toes. If you meant soft POINTE shoes, than it is not that dangerous.

    Hope this helps!

  4. not really...i do it all the time.

But i don't really DANCE en pointe in flat shoes....i just do some eleves and releves.....Australia Ballet dances barefoot on their toes though.......

  5. Initially, ballerinas did dance en pointe with soft shoes. The pointe shoes were a later development. The pointe shoes obviously provide better support so they are better for your feet.

  6. Not you can't.....

You need shoes designed to go on pointe.

You try going on pointe without "toe shoes"

you will more likely  having a quick trip

to the hospital and your foot in a cast.

  7. Hey.

Of course it's dangerous if you try to dance on pointe in soft ballet shoes. You have not got the support of the block (from the point shoe) to help you support your weight. Please, please don't try to do that, you'll injure yourself and I don't know anyone who can support their whole weight on the tips of their toes in soft ballet shoes.

If your trying to strengthen your feet, get some demi pointe shoes, these will help strengthen the muscles in your feet and your ankles (don't go onto pointe with these shoes either).

Basically, do not dance on pointe with wearing pointe shoes, it very dangerous.

Hope this will help you. =)

  8. No you shouldn't, as you will s***w up your feet, Don't do it!

Listen to your teacher, she'll tell you when your ready. :)
