  1. Loll........... This is the stupidest question I had ever read, you & waste 5 points on it. All the answer is the same. meanig

  2. The Immigration and Nationality act defines an Alien as; ANYONE who is not a CITIZEN or NATIONAL of the United States of America.

An immigrant is an alien we have allowed to come to America.

An Illegal immigrant came without permission.

Illegal means some thing is contrary to law.

For our next immigration related vocabulary lesson i would recommend the words; Visa, National, and Excludable.

  3. so your saying illegal by whos terms- i could walk into a store and pass thru the door that says Employees Only  and be arrested for trespassing.....but if there is not a sign saying that on the door and I enter, I have not done anything illegal. Unless there is a fence and a sign ,a person would assume passing the border that is not physically there but imaginary with no postings, then I would be legal to enter at that point. Alien-----some people are foreign to me because I do not know them but that does not mean they are alien.

Immigrant----to migrate from one place to another or merge, have you moved lately from one place to another. you could be breaking the rules of the government (which all aliens have tattoed on their arm) aliens coming here as illegal immigrants.   Also, moving or merging without permission or grant. Since when did you have your freedoms removed by the government. Put your seatbelt on, stop smoking, don't spank your kid, slow down, work, eat, sleep.

  4. they can fall under both 2 and 3. i have heard them called both. They have come here for permanant residency, as well as they were born in another country. lets call them illegal alien immigrants. if you are so concerned

    why the thumbs down??

  5. ILLEGAL as in NOT LEGAL,,, hwat is your question that the word ILLEGAL wasn't already enough?

  6. I prefer criminals, it's a lot easier and no need to sugar coat what these people really are ; )

  7. This was only the first, in the ever sliding scale, of how the politically correct place a spin on the illegal aliens.

First the media, politicians, big business and other open borders advocates wanted to make it sound better so they called them illegal immigrants.  Then they shifted to calling them undocumented immigrants.  Then undocumented workers.  And the latest name change has the PC crew calling them immigrants as though there is no distinction between legal and illegal.

  8. Can you say:   They all live next door (insert question mark here).

  9. People probably use the wrong terminology because the media does.  I hear "illegal immigration" all the time.  But you are right, they should be referred to as illegal aliens or illegal border crossers.

  10. 1) Illegal would be something against the defined laws and statues of a given location

    2) Alien is a entity which did not originate in a given location

    3) Immigrant is any person who has performed the action of immigration, which is defined as the movement of people between countries. Immigration or immigrant as a term implies no legal connotation of the act, it's simply the act of moving or the person who has done such.

So, illegal alien is a foreign entity who is present in a given location against the laws and statutes of that location.

An illegal immigrant is an individual who has performed the act of moving from one country to another without following the laws and statues of that location.

The terms mean the same thing, if you use the correct definition of an immigrant.

  11. lol whats your point? Illegal alien, illegal immigrant, same thing
