I have a pretty stable idea of what it is, but I'm having difficulty putting it into words.

Thanks

  1. You are talking about what right-wing think tanks have defined as "the politics of personal recognition" or the old term "popularism". Its an attempt to try to try to take the focus off of their way of conducting politics: "the politics of personal destruction"

  2. Identity politics is political action to advance the interests of members of a group whose members are oppressed by virtue of a shared and marginalized identity (such as race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or neurological wiring).
