  2. Firstly, Contemporary and modern are very different styles.

Modern is a very expressive style, and often very beautiful, and a dancer must work to convey meaning through his/her dancing.

Contemporary dance involves a contrast between smooth, flowing movements and sharp contractions.

Jazz, from my perspective, involves strong sharp movements, and a dancer must work to have an even energetic force behind their dancing. A lot of stamina is required in this dance form.

I have not had much experience with Broadway, but I gather that it is similar to the jazz style, but has more of a swing, and the moves are looser and free flowing.

Ballet is one of the most widely known styles of dance, with many styles branching from it. This is the most demanding style of dance, where a lot of strength and stamina is required to master correct techniques. A ballerina on pointe must strive to create a graceful feel to her dancing, whilst masking the pain she is going through in her toes and feet.

  3. 1. More of a lyrical type of style, contemporary is more har hitting though.

    2. Fun, loose energetic style

3.A form of Jazz except Broadway is very smiley and mobile.

5- Lyrical- A form of contemporary but more flowy
