Can you delete and skip from dvd camcorder like you can on dv camcorder.?

could any one tell me that on new dvd camcorder can we delete and skip unwanted stuff like we can do with dv camcorder when we edit on video. thank you

Yes, mostly.  The difference is that when you're editing DV you can be accurate to a single frame, it's more difficult to do that with the MPEG-2 files from a DVD.  Editing MPEG-2 also uses a lot more resources and is much more likely to degrade the video quality (which may not be great to start with).
