Can you delete the photos then reuse the memory card?

can you delete the photos then reuse the meomory card? like.. i dont wanna buy a memory card then when its full have to buy a new memory card. so, id probably never take the memory card out. all i do is put the photos on the computer, then delete them. does that work with a memory card too?

Yes, you can delete it.

Of course you can.  Make sure you tell windows to delete them after you upload them to your computer or they will remain on there and you will have to manually format the card, this can be a big pain if you have several photos on your memory card.

Yes, but you run the risk of causing corruption of the card.  The preferred way is to copy all your image files to your computer and then using the format feature on your camera, format the card.  This will refresh the card, write new file folders and a new image index file.

As everyone here has said you can save them to your computer back them up then re-use the card. You can delete them through windows or your editing program. Photoshop can be set to do it automatically. I do it by reformatting the card in the camera menu that also works well

yes you can delete photos off the memory card and reuse it btu keep in mind if your computer breaks down and you lose them off the computer you will have no way of replacing them...thats why it may be better to buy a new memory card instead of always deleting

Ya you just delete the pictures and then you have more space on your memory card to reuse it over and over.

And if you are scared to lose your pictures because your computer may break or just delete them on itself then put them on a CD.

yea u can still use the memory card but on some cameras once u delete the photos u have to charge the camera or somthing to refresh the card

Take the advice of fhotoace. One step further is to transfer photos from computer to a blank cd for safe keeping. Then you'll always have them even if your computer breaks down.
