Wow, Von Roth was a demon on the guitar, Rudy played a solid rhythm guitar, Bucholz was steady and rarebell was always above average. Plus, how can you lose with Klaus on vox? Who else compared to them in the 1970's? Zep, Sabbath, Thin Lizzy and who else? They were definately top 5 all the way.

  1. you have done your homework...the Scorpions were a great band...I don't know much about Von Roth but I shall investigate

  2. Zeppelin ruled the 70's. And if Led Zeppelin were the kings of the 70's, Thin Lizzy was the prince, Black Sabbath being the Duke or something. The Scorpions are an amazing band, though I can't put them higher then any of the other bands you and I both mentioned. Alot of good rock came out of the 1970's. Aerosmith began in the 70's. For some reason it always baffles me that Aerosmith and Led Zeppelin both were around at the same time. Then again, I'm pretty sure most of the members of Aerosmith are older then at least Robert Plant, though I'm not sure about any of the other Zep members, I just know that Rob recently turned only 60.

  3. No I sure can't argue that. Uli Roth and Micheal Schenker are Gods IMO.

  4. I'd say ACDC should be up there for 70's rock. Zep and Sabbath were good. I'm sure Ulrich Von Roth would appreciate such a dedicated fan like you.
