Its obvious I never deposit one million dollars into a bank before and having said that, I am not a rich guy. I noticed there's a limit in the amount you can have in your regular checking account. If you get 1 million dollar check or cash, how do you deposit it to your checking account? I am sure there's a lot of people that has 1 million dollars in their bank because 1 million dollar is not a lot now a days. But how do you deposit such a large amount of money? DO you go to a privately own bank that can deposit such an amount? Do you have to split that money into parts and open up two multiple accounts? Rich people can answer this question pretty easily.

  1. Yes, you can deposit it. Usually they will request that you open a Money Market account and have it direct deposited into it. Then it's up to you how you wish to invest it (only FDIC up to $100,000). Divide it up and open smaller accounts around town.

  2. Yes, you can.

  3. yes you can but why would you? If something is to happen then your fdic only insure up to one hundred thousands and you loose the rest.

  4. You just go to the bank and do it like you would any other check. But they might question as to why you suddenly came up with $1 million.
