  1. When I decided to put aside recommendations my parents made and stand on my own two feet. It was exciting and liberating. Regards UK

  2. Every single day. I'm single, live alone and have to.

Just today, I made sure I didn't overspend at the grocery store so my rent check doesn't bounce.

  3. Something big:

Leaving my ex was probably one of the most difficult decisions I had made on my own initiative, without anyone encouraging me to do it. I just knew that it was better for the both of us, not continue to hold on to something that would eventually break either way. But emotionally it was tough, I still loved him so much at the time and it took a while for me to gather enough character to do it, without asking anyone for advice or "support".

The smaller things I do regularly are part of everyday life, as Snark suggested, being mindful of my decisions and how they will affect me.
