Question:

Can you describe this shield using correct British heraldic terminology?

Here is a description of the shield (not real - for a fantasy story):

a green field, charged with a red heart above a silver halo. The heart and the halo are roughly the same size.

I am uncertain of the proper terminology when two charges appear on the shield in such a manner. My guess is:

"vert, a heart gules surmounting a halo argent"

Anyone know the proper, precise terminology?
