I have a "Cuti Pie" counter. It is very old but it works. It has zero adjustment, circut check, and several adjustments from X100 - X10 - X1 - X0.1.

If there is a concentration of "Radon Gas", I am confident it will regester. What do you think?

  1. Yes, it can detect gamma rays emitted

  2. Yes, although it may not be the best tool for the job.  If you're talking about testing some normal place for radon, the concentration is so low that you need to just have a detector you can leave in place for a while.

  3. Yes radon which in Rn 86 on the periodic table has a half life of 3.825 days and can be measured with a geiger-counter.

The recomended method for testing your home for Radon is to buy a radon test kit at a hardware store and send it to a lab.

  4. The answer is yes

You should go to the Health Physics Society Web site.
