Can you develop allergy to alcohol?

Recently, when I have a drink (cocktails, beer, or even wine) I feel very sick to my stomach. If I have more than two drinks I throw up profusely in the morning. I have never been this way before. Is it possible that I have developed allergy to alcohol?

  1. YES ! its safe to say im allergic to alcohol.

    and in the long run,i benefited from it.i used

    to drink w/ my friends and feels horrible. i

    got tests done and whatever and i was found

    to be allergic to it;;anyways my doctor said i

    was lucky because im saving my body from years

    of damage,and i could also set a good influence on

    my friends.

    The alcohol, however, is not typically the reason for these reactions. Another ingredient -- such as grapes in wine, various grains in beers (such as hops, barley, rye, corn or wheat), and the addition of yeast ( -- may be the cause. <---thats what my doctor told me.

    you can also get red eyes,pale skin,hives,and swelling after you drink.

    call up an allergist/doctor and get a test

    GOODLUCKKKK[;

  2. You most certainly can. You can be allergic to anything. The most likely culprit is whatever the particular alcohol you are drinking is made of. I have reactions to certain berry coolers.
