You think you will die on a roller coaster if a simple thing happens like someone dropping their camera off of the ride? Thats what happened in the movie and the wires of the video camera got caught in the roller coaster cart.

  1. There are many ways you can die on a rollar coaster.

But some, like the girl on the Drop Zone who got her feet cut off by a broken cable, suffer other serious injuries. (Real accident not from FD3)

Or at the fair when the safety cage of Kamikazee wouldn't shut properly. (Real safety issue not from FD3)

I'm not saying rollar coasters aren't safe. Theme park rides are safer then fair rides. But accidents do happen. If a ride broke I wouldn't go on it until it was completely fixed.

  2. Obviously, an accident can happen anywhere but the chances on an amusement ride are probably less than just walking down the street - your average ride is likely inspected far more often for wear and tear than the average building.

  3. lol afetr seeing that im terrified of dying on a ride but i still go and have fun =] the chances of that r super slm like 1%. im always scared ill fall out or it wil stop fastly and ouch or the bar will unlock lol cuz its controlled on a comp...anyways have fun lol

  4. LOL wow. It amazes me how people are scared to ride coasters after watching FD3. There are so many inaccuracies in that part of the movie.

It seriously does not take that long to load a train. The ride operators are much stricter about loose articles. They push down on EVERYONE'S bar and harness, and they won't issue a thumbs up and the "all clear" until they are positive that everyone is safe. That part of the movie was a severe exaggeration of a worst possible case scenario.

Not everything that happens in movies happens in real life =)
