  1. Yes, you're personal beliefs and your universal beliefs don't have to match up. Some people, I'm sure, will call you a hypocrite, but many people to some degree are.

  2. ? that sounds kind of contradictory, obviously seeing as you dislike someone because of race they are not being treated 'fair' in the sence, so no would be the correct answer.

  3. I don't like or dislike because of race, but because of character.  Everyone should be treated fairly, even you.

  4. I would say no...since you're obviously not treating them fair and equal.

  5. Of course you can because you’re speaking about the feelings of an individual and when it comes to someone’s feelings just about anything is possible.  I guess an example would be if you disliked someone and they were of a race that you did not like or trust for some reason.  That would be your honest feelings. But you believe in equally under the law and you don’t want unfair treatment of this person despite your personal feelings.  That would be your mental reasoning.  I am not going to get into the right or wrong of this but I will mention that the way an individual acts has very little to do with race.  We usually base our likes and dislikes on experiences of others peoples actions.  Other people’s actions are more shaped by their experiences and culture, not race.  There are stereotypes in races as far as behavior but those stereotypes are just generalities and will not apply to the whole race.  You might want to think about what you have the real problem with, a certain culture or the whole race.

  6. Yes, I believe so.  I don't dislike any body because of race.  But I believe you could and still want them to be treated fair and equal because of the fact that they are a human being.  This is called having compassion for our fellowman.

  7. no because then you are discriminatory

  8. Definitionally

Yes , I want even one to have a fair shot

No matter what race they are ..

  9. if you dislike someone because of their color then to be racist you have to dislike all people of that color.   you are not a raciest if you do not like someone specificly.    all people have a right to be treated fairly and justly but that doesn't mean you can't dislike someone.   we all have people that we don't like and wouldn't invite them to dinner but we stand up for their right to be treated fairly.   mr doodles

  10. It takes a pretty narrow-minded person to dislike someone only because of their race.  Every human being deserves to be judged on his or her individual merits, not on ethnicity.

There's also a big difference between "prejudice" and "judgement based on experience".  If your experience and everything you read in the news and see on television convinces you, for instance, that many young black males in large cities carry and use weapons for criminal purposes, then you shouldn't be considered bigoted for keeping your distance.

At the same time, it is only fair to want to see them earn a good education and a good job, and become good  citizens and good neighbors.

  11. Disliking a person for their race alone is racist, and ignorant. Judging each individual as a person and not race is fair. There are many more personalities and characteristics in people more than there are different races so, you cannot judge a person just by their race alone. Hate is a wasted energy that never solves anything but, understanding and respecting differences is what brings peace and wisdom.

  12. Yes. We all don't like everyone for different reasons. That doesn't mean that you don't want that person to be treated fairly. It just means you don't like them as a person for a personal reason.

  13. humans are fallible!  but we also know the different between right and wrong and just because we dislike someone is does not meant we want them to be treated unfairly.   is having the ability to step outside yourself and see things from a third point of view if we have that ability them we are ok.

  14. Sure.

    Why not?

    What do you think?

  15. Dislike because of race.  If the race is a race of bad people  who do terrible things to others not like themselves  you can hate them but still want them or what their race stands for  to be treated justly.

I think it is often more than a case of color and that the dislike likens to that aspect of a person.  Perhaps many are pushy, rude, stupid or smelly etc.and people apply it to the entire race.  Not a good thing but people are often that way.

Most of Europe hates gypsies because most  rip people off then disappear.  So people are wary of gypsies and detest the entire race.  Possibly warranted.
