Can you dive with a waterproof cast on?

A pal of mine's wife broke her leg a week before a scheduled trip to Curacao. She had a specially made cast to allow her to dive. I'm fairly positive that there were no boat dives involved, just shore ones, but she's a determined lass in her late 50's and I have the pic her Hubby sent, to prove she did it. One fin and a below the knee cast for propulsion.

You may be alright to dive with a cast on because it is waterproof, but make sure that your doctor says that you are alright to dive with your cast on. I wouldn't dive unless your doctor says it's alright to do so with your cast.
