Please tell me if you can Divide a phalaenopsis.

  1. Only if the plant has developed an offset. This very seldom happens with hybrid phals.

    Watch the flower spikes. On occassion, phalaenopsis will produce a keiki instead of bloom out of one of the nodes. These can be left on the plant until they develop their own root system and then potted up.


  2. The best time to re-pot or divide Phalaenopsis is just after flowering. If you decide to start growing these wonderful plants rather start off with a mature plant in full bloom. If it decides to die, you would have at least had a plant in flower for three months to enjoy.
