  1. Have you completed the BTEC Level 2?

You would be best going onto do a BTEC Level 3 in care, rather than A Levels.

What course(s) would you do at A Levels?

If you have the standard 5 A*-C GCSE grades, you will be able to do A Levels, although your BTEC work won't count for much, unless you want a part time job at a home for the elderly.

I'd say stick with the Level 2, then do Level 3.

Level 3 BTECs are equivalent to 3/4 A Levels.

However, if you don't want a career in the health + social care section, you are best doing academic A Levels.

    Good luck.

  2. This isn't necessarily going to help, but as a statement of fact anyone can enter for A levels at any time. A 3 year old could sit an A level ( they (hopefully) wouldn't pass). My aunt passed an A level aged 91. More to the point, my cousin, who I love dearly, left school at 16 to work in a milk processing plant. She now has a Doctorate and heads nursing services for the north-west of England.
