I'm writing a story, and I was just wondering if you can do drug rehab at home and how one would do that. Even if it's not the best idea, is there still any possible way? Thanks!

  1. I suppose you could. I think they call it going cold turkey.

You would need someone there (round the clock) with some sort of medical background to watch over you to make sure you didn't need to go to the E.R. for complications. Since this isn't a very pleasurable job to do I don't think you could get anyone to volunteer to do it.

All in all leave re-hab to the professionals!

  2. there are outpatient programs where people do not stay in a facility, they have appointments for say medication and/or therapy, there is also narcotics anonymous where people attend meetings but are not in a facility, they continue with their daily lives/jobs etc.
