  1. Wouldn't that be fraud?  Doctor's normally don't sign off on things unless they actually back it up with an exam or consultation of some kind.  Fibbing can get their license revoked.

  2. A good doctor would never sign a paper saying you were fit for a sport without an examination.  He could lose his license for that, and if you had a heart attack or something while playing, he could be sued for malpractice.

  3. Talk to the coaches and ask them to let you try out. If you're good enough, they will put you on the team.

  4. no. you need one becuase if you dont have one and you get hurt. they dont know what your allergys or what is your medical conditons. you wont be allowed to try out with out a physlical

  5. The physical is for your safety and to make sure you are within the qualifications of their requirements.  And you could possibly get accepted to junior varsity basketball but varsity is unlikely.  sorry but yeah get your physical it's not that bad.

  6. It's required by law to get a full physical before participating in a school sport. Sorry!

  7. yep u get it if theres some thing wrong with u

  8. what does a physical have to do with varsity sports?  you need one anyway to attend school.  get one.

  9. There is a reason for the signature, it represents a doctors clear bill of health with no restrictions for you to play.  Should an accident occur regardless of the number of documets you sign stating the school will not be responsible in that event, blame will be placed on someone and no professional doctor will risk that because of insurance purposes.

  10. Sorry, but there's a reason you have to get a physical.

  11. usually you need to give the school a copy of your physical not just a signature

  12. No. They make you do a physical to make sure that you are fit enough to compete. The school doesn't want the liability it would bring of not allowing this process to be completed. If you didn't do it and got hurt, the school might end up being blamed for it and "heads would roll".

Basically, you should just get the physical over with.

  13. Can you answer a question with a question?  How come you dont' want to do the physical?

  14. well to play ne sportz uz gotsta hav ur physical i shoulda had it a wile go skoolz bout to start or allready did for some ppl

  15. Get used to looking after your health.  If you have a physical problem, you could aggravate it playing sports,  Star athletes have had undetected heart problems and died while playing.

It is a lot easier to detect and fix most health problems early (or prevent them altogether) than to treat them later.   That goes for even minor problems,

  16. You should always get a sports physical.  You can get one at most immediate care centers and things.  About 35-50 bucks.
