Can you do sevice hours at an animal shelter?

I want to do some last minute service hours, and I just love animals! Is there a way I can do some service hours at an animal shelter? If so, how? Please be specific. Thanks!!!

yes normally you can and you go and walk the dogs or whatever..like feed them clean kennels and such..

It differs with each individual shelter. You'll have to call and offer your help or ask them about it.

most animal shelters like humane societies etc love to have extra help however they do require that you go through training usually, especially if you want to actually interact with the animals!  Also i know the one in my town makes anyone under like 16 have a parent or guardian "monitor" them while they volunteer.  so yeah, check with your local humane societies or wherever and check out their policy, you never know.
