Can you domesticate fruit bats?

Question

I wonder if anybody ever has before, and if they have, and people can in fact keep a fruit bat as a pet, where would i go about finding one, and what would i need to do to take care of it.

Maybe, but that would not easy. To domesticate an animal you must reduce their freedom and control their food. Some animals don't eat or can be damaged if you reduce their freedom, and may be die.  Some animals would be very aggressive if you reduce their freedom, so you would need special protection.

I believe that you can.  They are also called flying foxes.  I saw a show on television where a zoo keeper was feeding one by hand.  It was very docile.
