Can you downgrade or hack into a red psp? the one of god of war chains of olypus? it has firmware 4.05.?

I have read about the pandora battery and magic stick. i undertand how to make both. what i do not understand how to downgrade my psp so that it can play iso games. it seems i have to downgrade to another version or add a custom firmware. i guess the bottom line is can this psp be fixed to play iso games.
