Can you download / save Youtube videos??

Question

Is there any way you can save a Youtube video onto your computer for your own personal use, to watch whenever you want?

Some of them are just so funny or crazy I'd want to burn them on CD and keep permanent copies, in case they ever get removed (due to space limitations on the site, etc) .

If anyone knows some way to do this, I'd love to hear how.

You can download it using RealPlayer. Search it on google. It's free.

Let me show you the steps :

1. Download RealPlayer then follow the steps until it finished.

2. Launch RealPlayer then Click on Tools on the left then scroll down to Preferences.

3. Scroll down to Download & Recording then check to see if there's a check mark on where it says Enable Web Downloading & Recording, if not then place one on it.

3. Now you can just put or move your mouse on any flash videos, then something will pop up that says Download This Video.

4. After it's done downloading, you can find by going to My Documents, then go to My Videos then to RealPlayer Downloads. Everything should be in there.

5. The file format will be Flv, and can be played using that RealPlayer. Good Luck !

it is the easiest  (and also the  fastest) way.

It's easy for moyea flv to video converter. With this tool, you can download, play, and convert flv videos to your cd.  I'm using it for a long time and it works very well.

1. download the video (it will automatically be saved to your compuper hard disk)

2. convert the video to cd format

3. burn the converted file to your cd with nero.

yes of course you can download them... I do this.... You just have to install real player on your computer... then right click on the video screen in youtube then select "download with realplayer" ... hope I helped ya

You can't save the videos on YouTube to your computer, but you can save them to your favorites section on your YouTube account, that is if you have a YouTube account.

You can try liteCam, I've been using it for few months to record YouTube videos and pretty happy with it. I've tried several programs, and it works the best for recording short (5-20 minutes) streaming videos.

I know how to do this, three steps:

first: download a tool named youtube downloader that can download youtube videos and can also convert them to many formats such mp4, mpg, mp3, mov, etc as you want.

download youtube videos:

(1):add url

(2):set the path of saving download files

(3):start to download

convert the videos to mp4, mpg, wma, mp3, mov etc

(1): select the file which you want to convert;

(2): click the convert button and set the conversion formats and saving path

(3): start to convert.

burn them for you

when you download or convert them, you can burn them on CD with Nero Burning ROM for keepsake.
