Can you downlod java on the ps3

i was thinking about geting a ps3 but only if it can download it thanks

it lets u download it but it dont work properly

i tried to play yahoo pool on ps3 through browser....lets u log in but u get error wen the u try to open the lobby(java error)

the PS3 uses Java on the Blu-ray discs, for the interactive features, in fact some "homebrew" pong and Snake have been made usign this.

However the Java updates are only if it's included in the firmware.

Whay are you basing gettign the cosnole if it supports Java?

Its primarily a games console, Blu-ray palyer n media center, the Java would only mainly be used on the browser, but thats jsut a bonus feature, not exaclty a reason for getting or not getting the console.
