  1. if its a standard drill bit ..then the answers yes because that is what it was made for ...if you are using a standard electric drill ..do not use the hammer ...if you don't know the difference between a standard drill bit or a wood bit or a masonry drill....then go to your local hardware shop and find out first

  2. Yes you can. Just be sure to use some kind of oil while drilling through the metal.

  3. The "DRILL",,, (Standard) or not??? Makes little difference. The issue is what is the metal, and what "BITS" are appropriate to do the job.

Obviously LUBE can help, but isn't STANDARD in the drilling, depending on the metal, its thickness and the bit type.

    Just my two "sense"

  4. Yes, but it depends on what type of metal, the thickness, and the type of drill bit you use.

  5. Probably, but that depends on what metal, how thick the metal is, and how large a bore you're intending to make. Of course, it also depends on the drill and the operator!

You'll need a good metal bit, of course. Be sure it's a high speed steel bit and not a carbon steel bit.

  6. Soft metal and mild steels - yes,

hardened or stainless steel, - no.
