I think as long as it's concealed you could,the worst that would happen is if you weren't allowed and got caught,they would just say no drinking here,that's all,they wouldn't arrest you or nothing unless you became belligerent.

Unless you are at a beach bar, no. It is considered public drinking and it's illegal in NJ.

Of course, if you are subtle about it and no one is getting trashed, chances are no one is going to say anything about having one or two beers on the beach. At least, that's how it is at the beach I go to in NJ.
