I drink 100% fruit juice with no sugars added or no other additives but I drink close to 30-40 ounces a day. I drink fruit juice WAY more than I drink water. Actually I hardley ever just drink plain water. And I dont eat fruit at all either...I'd rather just drink it.

  1. Technically, yes, you can drink too much fruit juice, as you can have too much of anything.

Actually, even if its natural 100% juice, it contains many sugars even if they are natural. I'd keep the juices down to about 24 ounces a day and have more water or just dillute your juices with water.

  2. The fruit sugar in fruit juice is still sugar, in many cases it may have the same glycemic effect as white sugar.   Plus, being only the juice of the fruit, there is not the fiber from the fruit to slow its absorption.  So, from a sugar and calorie standpoint, fruit juice can be a lot like soft drinks.

On the other hand, it does have vitamins, that sody pop doesn't have, along with fewer suspect ingredients, so, if you don't have a weight problem, or a sugar problem, and you're not feeling run down, in the sugar-addict way, maybe you can handle it, and its alright.

Pay attention to how you feel, maybe research the different types of sugar in the different fruits and the amounts in each and consider watering it down, but, if you feel ok, hey, you could do a lot worse!

  3. when i drink artificial fruit juice i pee ALOT. i don't know why that is. but i think natural should be fine.
