  1. No such thing as road legal buggy. Lights on it will not make it legal. Lot more to  it to keep little kids   off the roads

  2. Has long as you have a license, insurance and tags along with the following items, then you can...................

    1. Horn

    2. Windshield Wipers

    3. Mirror

    4. Steering

    5. Seat Belts

    6. Brakes (system) (Parking - beginning with 1960 models)

    7. Tires

    8. Wheel Assembly

    9. Exhaust System

    10. Exhaust Emission System (beginning with 1968 models)

    11. Beam Indicator (beginning with 1948 models)

    12. Tail Lamps (2); (1) if 1959 model or earlier

    13. Stop Lamps (2); (1) if 1959 model or earlier

    14. License Plate Lamp (1)

    15. Rear Red Reflectors (2)

    16. Turn Signal Lamps (beginning with 1960 models)

    17. Head Lamps (2)

    18. Motor, Serial, or Vehicle Identification Number

    19. 1988 & newer - inspect for window tinting or coating

    20. Gas caps on vehicles 2-24 model years old.

  3. A Buggy is in the same vehicle class as a car, it has four wheels, so you are not permitted to drive on public roads with such vehicle.

If it had 2 'Main' wheels, and possibly two slightly smaller ones, about the size of pushbike stabalisers. then it would definately be allowed, as there was an ebay auction related product.

You may be able to drive it dependant on specification. Perhaps upload a picture.

  4. you can ride a 50cc scooter/moped at the age of 16. so i dont see why you cant ride a buggy that age!!

  5. I know that these can be driven at 16 on a provisional licence

    http://www.piaggioape.co.uk/range/

So I don't see why not

  6. The only motorised vehicle a 16-year-old can legally ride is a moped, and I've never heard of a buggy being licenced as a moped.  I doubt the engine would be powerful enough to move a four-wheeler.
