I have a school sweater that i love, but they sold out of the navy color before i could get one. The black totally doesn't go with my navy skirt, so i would like to know if it is possible to dye it navy?

Thank you very much!

  1. no

  2. No..you can't dye black wool to navy..it would not take to the fiber..if it's acrylic blend..no...if cotton blend it will just discolor.Wool would shrink in the dying process anyway due to the heat of the water needed to do the job.

there is nothing wrong with black sweater and navy skirt..it looks quite sharp actually...but if its navy that you want...mabe you could order one from wherever you bought the black one from...ask them... good luck.

  3. Acatually it is possible. There is a dye that actually bleaches your clothes so that you can change the color totally!!! You can go to a grocery store to find this product! Just ask the reps in the store... Walmart is probably your best bet though. You have to buy the bleaching dye and the color that you want your sweater. I know because I have done it!

  4. yes

try to dye it a shade of vibrant blue

  5. Bleaching it a bit might work.

  6. Just buy a navy sweater - you can get them dirt cheap anywhere

would work out more expensive to lighten it and it probably wont work

  7. Take it back, exchange it for the white one, and THEN dye it navy blue.

  8. No since black is already darker than navy

the only thing i can think of would be to bleach it then dye it, but it seems kinda risky

  9. it isn't possible

  10. um you could dye it but it might not turn out that well.
