  1. No, all parts of the potato plant are poisonous except the potato tuber itself - unless that is green.

  2. NOOOOO!

  3. Im pretty sure its poisonous...its related to deadly nightshade i think. Could be wrong but remembering something my parents told me when I was a kid picking their home grown spuds

  4. Let's put the foot down on this one.

Potato leaves ARE poisonous. While not deadly, they do cause symptoms identical to food poisoning. It is said that the Russians used to get poisoned all the time because they ate the leaves and threw away the potatoes instead, but I'm not about to buy that.

Sweet potato leaves, however, can be used as food.

  6. No not at all, nor can you eat the berries that sometimes form,  they are poisonous.

  7. Definitely not.

Potato plants suck up lots of toxins and put them in to the part above ground, which is green. This is why you shouldn't eat green potatoes.

  8. I wouldn't, potatoes are part of the deadly nightshade family! I've no idea if the leaves are poisonous, but beter to be safe than sorry, so do some more research.

  9. Nope, not a good idea.

  10. its rather odd that it is poisonous, as is deadly nightshade, and the stem of tomatoes, they are so closely related that it is possible to graft any of these three to each other, can be fatal!
