I was surprised when I read this question. I thought that we can't eat water, just drink it. Right now, I remember about ice. But why did you ask this question?

There is no nutrition in water, but it is important to have enough of it.

However, some years ago in Berkeley, there was a young man who claimed to be a Breatharian. That is, he claimed to live on nothing but air. He even gave classes on how to do it.

Believe it or not, there were numerous people who took him seriously and tried very hard to follow his example. Sadly, they all backslid.

It will surprise nobody that he was eventually caught in the act of surreptitiously scarfing a hamburger. But he managed to carry out his little scam for several years.

I would consider eating ice to be eating water. It is made up of the same particles just in a different form. Unless you consider that water and ice are kind of different. My opinion, yes, I think eating ice is the same as eating water.

Crazy enough, water is the only liquid that expands when frozen!
