Question:

Can you enroll your spouse in deers while on leave en route?

I'm in the airforce and im pcs'ing in a couple weeks and getting married while on leave, and i was wondering if i had to wait until i get to my next base or if i could do it at a marine corps base thats close to where im taking my leave.

  1. Yes you can when I was in the Army I did this as well.. you should be able to go to the nearest installation no matter what branch.. the forms are all the same... Good luck and Have a great Honey moon.. From a fellow Vet.


  2. The prior answer is correct. Go to any military type installation or Federal Bldg and the forms should be available. You will be required to have her birth certificate and the marriage license. A photo ID like a drivers license would be nice also.

  3. Yes. We're usmc and my husband actually enrolled me at the local airforce base.

  4. You sure can....DEERS is DOD wide...everybody (AD, Guard, Reserves) is in it.  

    Just make sure you have your ID, your marriage certificate, your wife's picture ID and her ssn card.
