Ingredients

Bread – 2 slices

Milk – 1 cup

Sugar – 2 tsp

Butter – 1 cube

Egg-1

Vanilla essence – 2 drops (optional)

Method:

Beat the milk, egg and sugar well. Soak the slices of bread in this mixture for 5 minutes. Take a pan, grease with butter and add the slices. Add a little more of butter while it is being cooked. Sprinkle a little sugar on both sides of the slices before turning it over (I like the glazed look that the sugar gives). Golden brown and its ready to serve.

  2. Well I am going to assume you have the packaging for the ingredients... So I am gonna tell you to look and the Nutrition Information and do some basic math.  You may need a calculator but its ok.

  3. I would estimate 465 calories.  200 calories for the bread, 120 for 2% milk, 36 for the 1 pat of butter, 16 per tsp of sugar, 76 1 large egg, 0 for the vanilla.  I'm figuring you'll use a bit more than 1 pat of butter, so add 10% and call the whole meal 500 calories.

  4. It sounds like French toasts.
