  4. Hun, you can make it to the Olympics out of a backyard pond. It's all about heart and practice. The YMCA is obviously a much better asset than a pond though haha. Good luck.  

  5. Lol no, you need to be on a winter swimming competitive team where you they have provincials and nationals. At national and international swim meets they have scouts who, if you're good enough, will sign a contract with you. I know this because I used to be a national swimmer.

  9. Absolutely! Many successful swimmers have represented YMCA clubs at the Olympic Trials not only in Omaha this year but in the past as well.

    Can you find the 6 swimmers on the 2008 team that represent YMCA throughout the country?
