the wise never stop learning ..........no one can be too well educated, for every day,every minute, every moment, of our lives we can learn something new........we never stop learning til the day we die......

I suppose to some people you can. Some people feel threatened by, or a resentful of educated people.

Personally, as an educated woman, I've had relationships with men who were definately bothered by it. It sucks that some men still think like that, but they do!

But personally, I dont think you can ever have too much education, if it stimulates you and makes you happy!

Even for those we consider too well Educated, there is

always something new to learn......the world is like that

you think you know so  much...say someone should think

this , the real odds are there is something they still don't

know !  Life is full of surprises and things to learn.

No such thing. The more knowledge you get, the better, but that is just my opinion. Usually when people hate you and call you, "too well educated," it's because they are jealous. I say, go for it. I know I love being educated.

Interesting Q. I have just been recruiting for a number of technical positions in my firm. I noticed that two people with very good academic quals did not perform well in the selection process. The applicants were provided with selection criteria and asked to write a brief statement explaining how they think they would meet these criteria. 1 guy simply quoted his credentials and supplied a list of papers and books he had written. He did not explain how he was suited to the position. Another lady with very good qualifications got to the interview stage but had difficulty providing simple answers to straightforward questions. She continually explained things in 'big picture' terms. I don't think being educated is a disadvantage, educated people just need to realise that qualifications are an aid to getting a job. No one owes anyone a job just because they have studied.

I have found out that being over educated can actally harm your job chances. I live in a town of around 40,000 and have had trouble finding suitable employment as the employers think that I will be to bored to do the job. Not many jobs around and don't want to move.

No, you can never be too well educated although for certain jobs you can be overqualified. If you are overqualified the boss may think that you will not remain there very long and that could be a disadvantage./
