Can you ever say why if a friend dates another friend, it gets worse?

Imagine a guy and a girl are friends. If they go into a relationship with the girl...why does it not work? If the relationship does not work...how do the friendship work? I went out with a friend once after being friends with him for 1.5 years and did not work. But we were attracted to each other and when it came to physical interaction, he could not do it. Why does not a relationship work if you are friend with that person? How come you become friend with the person you are in relationship with and how does that work if the other way do not work?

Well I have done the same thing before, and well it didn't work out. I realised after being friends so long there was something that just didn't quite feel right inside. A relationship is a lot different than a friendship, it requires all the same stuff but works in totally different ways, if you think back to when you were just friends, you might remember telling him all about who you like and him telling you the same back, maybe those are the days to stick to, cause maybe he loves you so much as a friend that its too complicated to change it into something else. Well it is a different senario. Couples they have to start friends 1st in able to move up to a different level. Many "dumb" people this days they don't do that & they hook up in later 1 or 2 weeks. Anyways, if a guy friend & a girl friend they know each for a while or so long, it will be like your big brother or sis. If you have feelings for each other & have a common, then make your move & please DO NOT play hard to get because you may hurt him or yourself. Good luck & -P.S. I use to be on the same shoes too & we didn't end up hooking because she was too blind & not the girl for me.
