Can you explain senioritis to me??

The term seniors in highschool use?

I dont quite know what it means and my bf and friends keep saying I already have senioritis!

Explain please?

  1. Yes, what she said.  It's slacking off, but specifically in relation to one who worked hard for the first 3 years.  Now a lot of grades and standardized tests are done, so some students think they're set and can start to coast.


  2. Senioritis is the term used for anyone who is super anxious to be done with HS. It is sometimes associated with slacking off here and there, but MOST of all it is a state of mind. It usually occurs 2nd semester of senior year.

    If you aren't a senior and you've got this, perhaps a change in perspective to gain a more positive view of school- however possible- would be the best way to go.

    It sounds obvious, but keeping that negative state of mind will just make HS even worse for you. For your own survival and success, get involved, get motivated, get positive!

  3. Senioritis means your Senior year, you don't do homework, you don't go to school, basically you slack off &take blow off classes. I'm gonna be a Senior too, but I've had 'Senioritis' since Freshman year.
