Question:

Can you fail the DMV road test for driving too slow?

I recently failed the DMV driving test, however I'm trying to figure out what was it that killed me. I made several mistakes:

-Driving too slow

-not staying in the center of my lane (a few times)

-not doing a shoulder check

But what I think the thing that really killed me is when I cut out in front of the city bus. I assure you that I can drive MUCH better than this, however I opted to follow the advice of a so-called experienced driver. Hence the only reason I cut in front of the bus is simply because I couldn't see it at a stop sign that rested at the top of a hill. Rather than creeping above the line so that I could see ahead I followed my advice given and stayed behind the line thus making it impossible for me to see incoming traffic, and once I finally turned I was going too slow in front of oncoming traffic.

  1. Yes you can fail for driving too slow unless the weather is bad because driving too slow can cause accidents.....

  2. If a bicycle cop (not motorcycle) can keep up to you then YES!!! They will fail you.

  3. Nope! The DMV manual says you should drive at an appropiate speed depending on traffic and cars around you! Um, unless you are going SUPER slow? Just how slow where you going? GEEZ!

  4. you stop AT the line, then creep up to where you can see, and, if need be, stop again...

and unless you were SERIOUSLY impeding traffic, then no, there is no "minimum" speed limit on most roads

  5. they will fail you for driving to slow.  as the instructor told my mom he didn't know if my brother could drive or not he went so slow.

i always crept over line if i have to see.  full stop, then crept till i can see where traffic or people are.  better to be safe than sorry.

sounds as if you need more practice.

  6. Yes they will fail you for going to slow.
