Can you feed eggyolk to fish fry?

I have 5 guppy fry and three molly fry and I want to know if you can feed them egg yolk. And if you can cooked or raw?

  1. yeah!  boil the egg, touch the yoke and stick your finger in the water.  you don't need  a lot, and the babies will love it!!


  2. With that few of fish I would just go the petstore or walmart and buy fry food as it won't spoil.

    Strain the egg yolk, I believe either raw or cooked would work, though I would recommend slightly cooked to remove any pathogens that may be present.  

    Also, livebearer fry can eat very finely crushed flakes (I use a mortar)

  3. baby guppys and mollys dont need the egg yolk. thats for betta fry because betta fry are so small that they cant eat ground up flakes like guppys and mollys. you should just take some livebearer food and grind it up really small and feed a tiny little bit like 2 times aday. its better to feed them a little a few times aday instead of a lot once aday. or you can go to petco and buy fry food. thats what i feed my guppy fry for the first few days

  4. yeah u can put eggyolk in the tank for ur fry.
