i have a green spotted puffer, red scat, and a gymnothorax tile in a brackish tank. dont give me any c**p about having these fish mixed together i know the risk but they are all getting along just fine. my question is would they eat guppy fry. i am breeding guppies for my oscars and i'm gonna be getting rid of the oscars cuz i need the tank for my brackish fish. i'm pretty sure that the green spotted puffer would eat the guppy fry as a snack but what about the red scat and the gymnothorax tile? also if the guppies would survive long enough in brackish water to get hunted down and eaten. the specific gravity is about 1.010 is this a bad idea? any suggestions help

  1. That was the first thing I thought when I saw your question, would the fry survive? I wouldn't think so because they are already at a disadvantage because they are babies and tropicals don't tolerate salt well. Second, you'd have to make sure they are parasite free or you are going to have internal parasite problems with your other fish. I'd just stick to the stuff you know is clean, IMO.
