  1. "Tropical" only relates to the water temperature the fish prefers-- there are tropical freshwater fish and tropical marine fish as well as coldwater freshwater fish and coldwater marine fish.  Feeding tropical freshwater flakes to a tropical freshwater fish is fine, but tropical marine flakes would not be as good-- marine fish use different amino acids and have different nutritional needs than freshwater fish.  Coldwater fish generally use less protein than tropical fish (though there are certainly exceptions), so it would also not be a good idea to feed coldwater fish tropical food.

  2. Not if its goldfish! Goldfish need their own little diet. I dont know about rosy reds and them though.

  3. there are four main types of fish groups

    marine coldwater  (native fish etc)

    marine tropical (clown fish etc)

freshwater coldwater (mountain minnows. goldfish etc)

    freshwater tropical (tetras, danios etc)

  4. Yes
