This girl i was friends with at work . has been harassing me. she calls me..he boyfriend calls me.. i never answer but i write down the times and the number when ever i get the call.

she consistently texts me calling me names. i lock all texts and save them. I have 5 people who have called me saying she has been bad mouthing me. I had all of them write down what was said.. dates and times.. she has been written up 8 times at work for slander against me to other employees, patients and patients families, over the last 3 years

Could i file a legal commplaint against her with this? and get some kind of restraining order or something?

Also she lives in another state about 3 hrs away. would i have to do it there or where i live?

Thanks

  1. Yes, you can block calls from your cell phone.  It depends what type of cell phone you have but go under menu then "settings" look for "security" and look for "calls restriction" highlight select address book only.  This features allows only phone numbers in your address book to call you.  I know there might be another feature it's call "reject list" with this feature you can type in the phone number to be blocked.  Also you should go to your local authority with all the evidence to file a complaint of terroristic threats and possibly getting a restraining order.

  2. What state do you live in? Alot of the laws differ, from state to state. In most states, you file a complaint with your local PD, but it won't affect the situation much, if at all. If you live in a state that has harrassment laws, then you can get a non-harrassment, or no-hassle order, that would keep her from calling or texting you. I would assume that you would get it from whatever state you are both spending time in.

I don't understand, how is she getting written up at work, if she lives 3 hours away? Do you work together? If so, does the company have a HR department? They would handle any problems between employees.

Beyond that, when your friends call you to tell you she said this or that, my advice would be to tell them that you really don't want to hear any more. If they were true friends, they wouldn't listen to it, to start with and wouldn't keep bringing it to you.

Also, most phones have a way that you can block calls from certain numbers. Do she and her boyfriend usually call from the same numbers? Block them and forget them. If you don't know how, call your phone service provider, also about texts.

    Good luck!!

  3. omg she has a serious mental illness!!  she is wasting TIME doing all these things?  does she not have a life?  how can she keep all the stuff straight?  yes you can show it to a lawyer and then sue her.

  4. Sounds like good old harrassment to me. If she's threatened you then that's assault and you can file criminal charges. Otherwise it's up to the judge to grant a restraining order.

  5. You can go to the local pd (where you live or you have been getting the calls) make a report with the front desk officer...if there is one.  You are doing a good job recording each time they bother you.  You could contact the local prosecuting attorney.  Give the attorney the police report number and see if there are any charges that can be filed.  That is if the pd can't or won't do anything.
