Can you file phone harrassment in Indiana?

I am having annoying phone calls from bill collectors for other family members that do not live here or my neighbors. I don't know how they got my number, but they continue to call and I have told them to stop. Now I am fed up? Can I file phone harrassment and if so how?

call your phone company and ask them to change your phone number

first, go to the FTC's web site and search on Fair Credit Collection. www.ftc.gov

follow the instructions.

next, send a letter to the attny general and request help.

the bill collectors will not listen to Indiana Bell, but they will listen to the Attny General.

Something that I am doing, I record all telephone calls from them (wells fargo) and I tell them that I plan to sent to tape to Columbus. After they rant about taping them, I remnd they they were recorded.

Phone calls has dropped in number.
