The tax return you are supposed to file in 2008 would be based on the income you made in 2007, and it should have been paid by April 15 of 2008. If you have not filed it yet, you can still do so, but it will be late and may be subject to interest and penalties.

The tax return you are supposed to file in 2009 will be based on income you earn in 2008, and it will be due by April 15 of 2009.
