  1. Yes you can but DO NOT fill in with any hardcore or earth so that touches the timber on the wall


  2. So long as you don't bridge the dpc you should be alright. Bit difficult to say without more info.

  4. yes you can, as long as you fit a DPC to protect the wall from the decking , an upright sheet of PVC or a row of upright slates will do

  5. yes but best advice is to leave a gap of say 3 or 4 inches.

    between the wall and the decking. This gap will be a trap for leaves and other debris. I fitted some wire mesh over the gap - tacked to the decking, to stop leaves, debris - etc falling in.
