Can you fix my Madden 09 error?

Question

I just rented madden 09, and my xbox 360 said that the disc was unreadable. I went back and got a different copy of the game and had the same problem. all of my other games (including madden 08) work fine. does anyone know if i need to doan update or something? if so, how?

Rent it from somewhere else.

go back to were you rent it from and tell em to clean the disc

My advice would be to check the EA sports forums to see if anyone else is having the same problem.  Typically most updates occur as the game is loading. I might try deleting the current save file for Madden 09 if there is one on your 360, otherwise check the forums, or let someone else try the game in their 360 and see if it's the disc or the system. If It's the disc you're almost certainly not the only guy having the issue.

no u dont need an update.....howd u rent madden 09, i wuld think they would b out, did u ask the ppl at the renting store to clean the disk for you, they usually have a machine that cleans them like new
