I figure I can renew my drivers license on my lunchbreak, but I am flying Thursday and I thought they take forever to make you a new card...

  1. You don't need a "driver's license" per sé,

you need a "government issued photo id"

(which for most people IS the DL).

Since you have a passport, which is also

a "government issued photo id" you don't

need the DL at all, expired or not.

  2. Just so the pilot doesn't have an expired pilot's license.

  3. you probably can, but I'd get the licence replaced before went if I were you, better safe than sorry. Go to the DMV in person and get it done, you'll probably have to wait on a long line though.

  4. You never said where you were flying, but within the US, the passport is boss....Just ask your ASTA travel agent that should have bought your ticket to be sure.
