  1. Yes, you can freeze red wine. It will actually taste better after freezing.

  2. haha yeah it will freeze but why...not in a rude tone....just curious

  3. Usually, you can.  If the alcohol level is less than 13%, it should freeze solid without trouble.  I currently have some in the freezer which is 13.5% and it is not quite completely frozen.

Although your wine will probably not be great for drinking afterwards, this is a great way to save leftover wine for making sauces (such as braising liquid for lamb shanks or beef short ribs) or for poaching liquid for making poached pears.

If you like to make pan sauces for your steaks using reduced red wine, you can reduce your wine first by simmering it in a saucepan until reduced to a quarter of its original volume, then let it cool and put it into an ice cube tray.  Freeze that, and then you will have small cubes of pre-reduced wine to use in your pan sauce.

    Cheers!

  4. Yes, but why would you want to freeze it, unless you want a red wine slushy drink....If you mean can you freeze it without it freezing (like higher alcohol content beverages like vodka, rum etc) then no you can't freeze it for that purpose.  Also, if some does freeze, the increased volume of the ice (water is weird that way) might increase the pressure enough to slide the cork out some, and degrade the seal.

Red wine is best served at around 60 degrees so freezing would not be suitable for this.

  5. Are you trying to make red wine Ice cubes? serious  You can not save it this way.

Just remember the grapes are very much alive in the bottle and will not taste the same after the freezing and thawing process..

  6. Yes

If you have an open bottle you want to keep for more than a couple of days this is the best way to keep it.

Let it thaw naturally. Will be OK, not as good as bottle freshly opened but better than one left open for several days

  7. yes, it will freeze.....haha..... but why?
