  1. Yeah, just use a good freezer bag so it doesn't get freezer burn

  2. yeah my mom does it all the time

  3. yeah you can :)

  4. yes, just be sure when you take it out of the freezer you use it all once it is defrosted.

  5. You should, and reuse it, but I don't know how it would taste when you want to use it.  Fresh is the best.  Frozen bananas are great tho.

  6. Yes... Alot of people buy cheese in bulk and freeze it.   It might be a little more crumbly when you go to cut it (after it's thawed), but it works even better for grated or shredded cheese then

  7. Most cheeses like american, mozzarella, cheddar, can be frozen as long as they are wrapped really well.  I do it all the time!  Just don't try to freeze ricotta or anything like that.  It never goes back to the same texture.  The water separates out and then the cheese becomes spongy.  Yuck!

  8. yes.

  9. What would stop you from doing so?

  10. Lots of mis-information here ::

    Yes you can freeze cheese BUT

    Freezing hard cheeses like Sharp Cheddar will make it brittle - it will break and fall apart.

    Soft cheeses? Fine, they'll thaw and retain it shape.

    And nobody else knows this? Just try freezing a small piece of Cheddar!

  13. Yes....on occasion I have purchased cheese that was near the expiration date by accident and have frozen it with no problem. Just make sure that bag is sealed tight.

  14. yes i freeze my cheese all the time i buy it when its on sell then feeeze it ..

  15. Absolutely!  I do it a lot!  Block cheese is cheaper than that pre-shredded stuff, and more flavorful.  When you put it in your ziplock, gently press most of the air out while you seal it.  I've never had a problem with taste or texture.

  16. You sure can
