  1. yes, but it will taste bad, refrigerating is better

  2. Yes, but you have to be careful thawing it out, you don't want it to get mushy.

  3. You can, but why would you?

The cold is going to cause the starch to deteriorate and your rice will turn into little balls of nothing.

I've heard you can recook the rice to bring it back to it's original state, but as of now I've never been able to do it.

  4. Absolutely!  I have a huge persian family (in laws) and they make lots of rice and send me home with it.  I freeze it all the time.  When I cook it, I spray a little water on it.  ITs not as good, but it can certainly be frozen.

  5. yeah!

  6. vvvvvvv

  7. Yes, you can. The hard part is to defrost it.

  8. I would think not.

it isn't even good after being refrigerated, gets hard. But there are frozen dinners with rice in them so maybe it will work. Try it out. never done it.

  9. yup

  10. yes but it will never taste the same ...........if that is important to you take the extra time.

  11. Yes you can :)

    Just make sure you:

    1. let it cool before you put it into a container

    2. use a gallon size plastic bag to store it in (it sticks to itself not the container)

  12. no cooked rice is resistant to the cold it takes near abosulte zero temp to freeze it.

Of course you can freeze it it just isn't as good later.

  13. I don't see why not, it will probably affect the taste when you reheat it. I would add some milk or water to it when you reheat it. It will stay good in the refrigerator for a few days if that might be a better option.

  14. yes.

  15. Yeah but why would you want to!?!? LOL

It's bad enough just in the fridge - let alone in the freezer!!!

  16. yep i do it all the time :) just make sure you let it cool first, and then make sure it is sealed airtight! if you dont do either of these then you will end up with ice in your rice! and then it will taste like freezer ice which is never good!

good luck and happy freezering! :)

  17. yes you may... but not when its still hot (fresh from the stove)...

    it may get spoiled.... =)

  18. Freezing cooked rice in serving-size portions is an easy way to have an almost-instant side dish, and is nearly as good as freshly cooked. It’s an especially handy do-ahead for brown rice, which takes around 45 minutes to cook. Portion cooked rice (either plain or simple pilafs work equally well) into single serving-size Ziploc-type freezer bags and freeze. The rice can go straight from freezer to microwave and be ready in a few minutes, or thawed in the refrigerator and incorporated into other dishes. You should just add alittle water to it when you reheat it. ..... = )
